SOLIDWORKS 2021 Active Window Highlighting

If you’re anything like me you can have multiple SOLIDWORKS files open at any one time.  If a command is open on one model it prevents selecting a different window until the command was closed or completed.

As a user, this used to slow me down when switching between explorer and SOLIDWORKS, resulting in time lost locating the model preventing the switch.

With the new enhancements to the User Interface in SOLIDWORKS 2021 incorporating active Window Highlighting, we can quickly identify which window is active directly from the Task Bar to locate the open command;

Allowing me to quickly jump back and forth between SOLIDWORKS and Windows Explorer.

Depending on the command, it doesn’t always force the active Window to be selected.  In these scenarios; all windows will be highlighted and available for selection.
