In SOLIDWORKS 2020, you can edit an existing selection set to add or remove items. You can also add items to multiple selection sets at once. The items that need to be added to a specific selection manager can simply be dragged from the Feature Manager design tree or from a selection set to the desired selection set.
Let’s create a new selection set. All the items that need to be added are selected from the tree.
Right click on the selections, and click Save Selection. To add an item to a new selection set, click on New Selection Set.
If you want to add an item to an existing selection set, click Selection-Set # (##) where # is the order of creation and ## is the number of items in the set. If there is a check mark next to a selection set, it means that the item selected is a member of that selection set.
To update the entities within a selection set, in the Feature Manager Design Tree or in the graphics area, CTRL select the items which need to be edited.
Right click on the items and choose the selection set from the right click menu under Save Selection. Once you are finished with the changes the selected items will be added to your desired set.
If you would like to remove an item from a set, right click on the item from selection set and select Remove From Selection Set.
