Formlabs Form Cure
The Formlabs Form Cure post-processing machine enhances the post-curing of Formlabs SLA 3D prints by precisely controlling light, internal temperature and time.
Form Cure (2nd Generation) precisely combines heat and 405 nm light to deliver tough, strong prints with unprecedented speed and consistency. Now you can post-cure Form 4/B prints in as little as 60 seconds, with 4x more UV power, 5x faster heat-up times, and a 1.3x larger chamber.
Overview
Post-curing maximizes material properties for stereolithography prints, improving parts’ strength and performance.
To begin curing, just select a validated preset for Formlabs 45+ materials. Advanced users can customize time and temperature to fit their specific needs.
Post-curing completes the chemical reaction started during printing, enhancing final part strength, toughness, heat resistance, and creep resistance while creating a harder, less tacky surface.
For biocompatible materials, post-curing is necessary to achieve the safety standards determined by regulatory agencies.
A Consistent, Automated Workflow
Post-curing maximizes material properties for SLA prints, improving parts' strength and performance.
Formlabs Form Cure Features

Post-curing Accuracy
Post curing is not necessary for all resins, but the Formlabs Form Cure improves the performance of Formlabs part materials, especially the resins that require distinct mechanical properties.
Printing cures the resin to its “green” state. In the green state, some polymer connections are not yet fully reacted. Post-curing parts with additional light and heat strengthens the polymer structure, improving strength, stiffness, and temperature resistance.
The increased number of bonds pulls the material together more tightly. Therefore, post-curing also causes minor shrinkage, and each material’s print settings are designed to account for the expected shrinkage during printing and post-curing.
Reliable and Durable Parts
Due to its professional post-curing, parts are fully cured and made ready for their peak performance.
Form Cure combines UV lights and heat to make sure you get the best results following your 3D prints.
An advanced heating system precisely controls the temperature based on the parmeters entered by the user;it also boasts 13 multi-directional LEDs emits UV rays at the finest 405 nm for the perfect printed parts. Prints are also rotated one revolution per minute due to its turntable that provides uniform exposure.

Improve Part Performance
Formlabs form cure has dramatically improved the performance of all printed materials, standard resin increases in strength, engineering resins reach peak performance, and castable resins burn out all more clearly. It is compatible with a variety of materials as well.
For Standard Resins, simply use Form Cure’s default time and temperature. For all other materials, use unique recommended settings for optimum performance.
Automated Post Processing
For almost any 3D printing technology, post processing adds time and limits throughput.
Formlabs post processing solutions simplify and automate post processing so you can consistently produce quality results and maintain a tidy workspace with less time and effort. The Form Wash and Form Cure machines streamline and automate rinsing and post-curing of stereolithography prints.

Formlabs Form Cure SLA Post Processing Steps

Step 1: Insert washed and dried prints
Wash parts with the Formlabs Form Wash to remove solvent and support material.
Open the cover and distribute parts on the round turntable. Space parts evenly to allow light and heat to reach all areas.

Step 2: Select the type of resin
Set the post-cure time and temperature settings for your resin. The LEDs activate, and the timer starts once the heater reaches the target temperature.

Step 3: Remove the parts
The LEDs and heater turn off automatically at the end of the post-cure cycle.
Open the cover and remove the cured parts.
