This CATIA V5 fundamentals course will enable students to operate CATIA V5 using best practices within the disciplines of Mechanical and Surface Design. The primary workbenches used in this course are Part Design, Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design and Drafting.

  • Creating Dress-Up Solid Features
  • Performing Operations and Transformations on Solids
  • Manipulating Feature Relationships to Change Design Intent
  • Using Measure Tools in Part Design
  • Application of Material in Part Design
Day 4: CATIA V5 Assembly Design & 2D Drafting
  • Creating Products and Structuring Components
  • Understanding Component Positioning
  • Using Assembly Constraints
  • Contextual Part Design within Assemblies

  • Generating Dimensions and Annotations
  • Finalizing Drawings for Release

  • Introduction to Creating Advanced Surfacing Operations (multi-input)
