The SOLIDWORKS Largest User Group Meeting Ever (SLUGME) is designed to bring hundreds of local SOLIDWORKS user groups together on the same date/time to share technical content and best practices from the experts, to a wider audience! All SOLIDWORKS users are welcome to join a local User Group; industrial, academic, large and small businesses. Membership is complimentary.
How to attend SLUGME
SOLIDWORKS user groups across Canada and the United States will meet on November 4th to watch the presentations via live broadcast. To find a user group near you; visit SWUGN.org and check the calendar for November 4th. You will find a list of the SOLIDWORKS user groups participating in this event.
Agenda
- 6:00 PM – Eric Beatty will open the event with welcoming remarks (broadcasting from Seattle).
- 6:15 PM – Kam Smith from Aberdeen Proving Grounds SWUG will present his well-received SWW2019 presentation “Maniacal Modeling Methods”
- 7:30 PM – Alin Vargatu, SW Forums superstar and Elite AE for Javelin Technologies, will deliver a fascinating presentation focused on “10 Real-Life Case Studies Where Multibodies Save the Day”. This is one NOT to be missed!

Kam Smith – Mechanical Engineer at Army Futures Command

- Kam is a Certified SolidWorks Expert and the Lead Mechanical Engineer for one the Army’s prototyping labs on the Aberdeen Proving Ground, in Maryland, where the US Army does most of their Research & Development and system testing. He is also the founder and President of APG SWUG. More recently, he made it on the General Session stage at SOLIDWORKS WORLD 2018 with the 3rd fastest time in the Model Mania competition.
Alin Vargatu – Process Improvement Consultant at Javelin Technologies Inc.

- As an Elite AE and Process Improvement Consultant, Alin Vargatu is a Problem Hunter and Solver, and an avid contributor to the SOLIDWORKS Community. He has presented over 2 dozen times at SOLIDWORKS World and tens of times at SWUG meetings organized by four different user groups in Canada and one in the United States. Alin is also very active on SOLIDWORKS forums, where he launched the very popular SOLIDWORKS Power User Challenges. His blog and YouTube channel are well known in the SOLIDWORKS Community.
