Javelin Technologies, experts in 3D design, engineering data management, and additive manufacturing, is celebrating today after being recognized as one of the country’s Top Small & Medium Employers (SMEs). The winners were announced this morning in a special magazine published in The Globe and Mail and online on Eluta.ca.
Now in its sixth year, Canada’s Top Small & Medium Employers recognizes the SMEs that offer the nation’s best workplaces and forward-thinking human resources policies. Employers are evaluated using criteria such as physical workplace, atmosphere, benefits, employee communications, training, and community involvement.
“Every day, our people provide next-level service and support for Canada’s most creative product designers and manufacturers,” said Ted Lee, one of Javelin’s managing directors. “From coast to coast, every member of our team of 115 continually meets that challenge head on and they deserve to work in the best possible environment we can provide.”
Javelin Technologies, established in 1997, is a Canadian authority on 3D design, product data management, automation, additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing), and laser scanning solutions. In 2018, Javelin merged with Cimetrix Solutions, forming a never-before-seen powerhouse of expertise in additive manufacturing in Canada.
Growing while protecting workplace culture
“The companies that make this list are fast-growing employers that need to innovate rapidly,” said Richard Yerema, Managing Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Some have doubled in size over the past year, but all of them are looking for new ways to attract the best and brightest employees so they can keep growing.”
Growth has been a recurring theme at Javelin, particularly in recent years. In 2018, for the third year in a row, Javelin Technologies appeared on the Growth 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies, published by Canadian Business. Javelin ranks number 32 on the list of fastest-growing information technology companies.
