RICHMOND, Va. – TriMech, a leading technology and business solutions partner for design engineers and manufacturers, now offers SolidProfessor on-demand learning platform as part of its SOLIDWORKS subscription service.

TriMech clients who invest in SOLIDWORKS CAD software solutions rely on subscription services that already include regular software updates and live technical support. Adding the video learning management system SolidProfessor means that these clients can now access the largest online training platform for design engineers. SolidProfessor includes more than 15,000 video tutorials and is widely considered the go-to for on-demand training resources for design and engineering software.

Marcel Matte, President and CEO of TriMech, said TriMech’s investment in SolidProfessor fits the company’s overall strategy to continually find new ways to bring the best in products and services to clients.

“SolidProfessor is the perfect addition to our existing offerings in training and consulting. The platform caters to engineering teams who need the flexibility to train anytime and anywhere. A designer can solve a small problem in a matter of minutes and set up a longer-term, personalized learning path to prepare for SOLIDWORKS certification.”

What’s included with SolidProfessor?

The SolidProfessor library includes interactive, regularly updated lessons in the most popular tools for design engineers, including the SOLIDWORKS portfolio of solutions, 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, Mastercam, DraftSight and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Design teams use the platform dashboard to create, administer and track custom training programs, while the SOLIDWORKS add-in tool allows individual learners to search and find a video to quickly acquire a skill on the fly. Built-in skills analysis and testing tools provide insight into current skills, gaps, opportunities, and progress.

Tony Glockler is CEO and co-founder of SolidProfessor. He said “TriMech’s mission to help engineers succeed made this partnership a no-brainer. At SolidProfessor, we understand that it’s engineers who design the future, and we want to help them do just that. TriMech understands that, too.”

SolidProfessor complements TriMech’s wide variety of training courses and services, which include in-person classroom experiences; live, instructor-led online courses; and on-the-job assessment and coaching.

“TriMech has learning options to match any client need,” Matte said. “Engineering team leaders appreciate that their designers can master both fundamental and advanced skills to work with confidence. And business leaders understand the company-wide benefits of working smarter and faster, transforming efficient product development and continuous improvement into profitability and growth.”
